Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dalam Pengelolaan Sampah di Kelurahan Manyaran Kota Semarang: Mewujudkan Kampung Tematik Pilah Sampah

Abstract

Collaboration between the government, private institutions (NGO), and academics in supporting waste management has been carried out in various regions through community empowerment programs. Training related to waste management continues to be improved so that the community can play an active role in these activities. Like what PKK women in Kelurahan Manyaran do, they share and educate people who have not been able to manage waste properly. This community empowerment was carried out to support the Thematic Waste Sorting Village in Manyaran Village, to be precise at RT 09 RW VII. This location is named Kampung Pilah Sampah because this location is the Ringin III Temporary Shelter (TPS) in Manyaran Village. The purpose of this service is to provide socialization / outreach to the community about the importance of sorting waste in the Thematic Sortir Village of Manyaran Village and making Manyaran District a target area. Activities carried out at this service include (i) Socialization of Waste Management including video screenings about the condition of the Jatibarang Final Processing Site (TPA) and waste sorting games, (ii) Waste Making Training: Ecobric and (iii) Garbage Sorting Bins.
